My goal for the site, in general, is to educate and inform my readers about the unique history and contributions of African-Americans in higher education. Specifically, I aim to build a stronger black consciousness through critical examination, collective dialogue and actionable agendas that directly serve the black community at large.Rodney T. Cohen is gaining a reputation as a “black collegiate activist” – dedicated to preserving, researching and educating the public on the rich intellectual history and traditions of African-Americans in higher education. He is a sought-after presenter, keynote speaker and consultant on the subject. Professionally, Dr. Cohen currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Yale College and Director of the historical Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale University.
