Alarming Rates Indicate a Cry For Help Among Latina Youth | 2011

One in seven Latina High School students attempted suicide one or two times in 2009, according to results from a 2009 Youth Risk Behavior Study released by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
The study also found that Hispanic girls reported one of the highest rates among suicide attempts in the city.
The Bronx’s young Latinas, in particular, had an alarmingly high rate at 15.3%.
