CT BAEO presented it's 2nd Annual Education Policy Forum, "The Economics of a Great Education" at the Yale Law School on Saturday, February 5, 2011. Featuring esteemed panelists and dinner keynote, critical information, analysis and evidenced based research was presented for why, "The Time is Now" to enact change. School Finance Reform: Overhaul the existing Education Cost Sharing formula to account for individual student -needs and public school choice.
Keeping Great Teachers in the Classroom: Reevaluation and reform of constrictive teacher retention practices, specifically " Last in, First out"
Parent Empowerment: Strengthen Connecticut's "parent trigger" provision to eliminate bureaucratic barriers to parent and community action to reform chronically low-performing schools.
