UNCF An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Chaka Khan Presented By Target Will Air on January 29 & 30 2011

LOS ANGELES, Ca (September 30, 2010) -- An all-star lineup of performers and presenters came out to celebrate the career of Chaka Khan at the taping of UNCF'S 32nd annual television special, UNCF An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Chaka Khan presented by Target on Saturday, September 25, 2010. UNCF stages the celebration of excellence in entertainment and education each year to honor artists who have helped advance UNCF's mission--making sure that all students get an education that starts in pre-school and doesn't end until college graduation.
Music industry legends Stevie Wonder and Quincy Jones presented Khan with UNCF's Award of Excellence for her successful career and longtime support of education. Wonder and Jones were joined by UNCF President and CEO Dr. Michael Lomax who told Chaka "By inspiring and empowering young people to pursue education, from elementary school to middle school to high school and college, you have changed lives and made our nation stronger."
UNCF An Evening of Stars® Tribute to Chaka Khan Presented by Target was taped before a live audience at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California and will air nationwide on January 29th and 30th, 2011 on more than 40 stations across the United States and BET.
