The Parks-King Lecture, hosted by Yale Divinity School since 1983, brings the contributions of African American scholars, social theorists, pastors, and social activists to YDS and the greater New Haven community. Ambassador Young, a UCC minister, former mayor of Atlanta, U.S. Congressman and U.S. representative to the U.N., is scheduled to receive an Emmy award for lifetime achievement on Feb. 25 for his work in television and as a documentary film producer. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception.
