SNOW WHITE- BLACK ICE

As we enter 2011 social political constructs such as the the now somewhat dated "post racial society" have been joined by the "no label" movement, the nascent coffee party, the still strongly brewed Tea party and I will add my own, you heard it here first "sandbaggers" aka latter day descendants of the mid 1850 "no nothing party." The essay below by Ewuare Osayande , entitled, "

Word to the Wise: Unpacking the White Privilege of Tim Wise"

reminds us that "society" and "culture" are as well are linguistics constructs which are designed, sold and exported. You can become a   wolf in sheep's clothing or become a neo white robe member sitting on the supreme court bedecked in black regalia. The color of our drapes can allow the light of truth to stream in or  be obscured, deferred or refracted . As we welcome 2011 let's let our light shine, shine, shine.
