WARD 22 MEETING PHOTO ALBUM



 The Ward 22 meeting was held on  Friday October 29, 2010 at the Wexler Grant School. The agenda was conducted as follows:
 Mr Joseph Cummings : 
Offered Blessings for all elected officials

Yale Gospel Choir: Singing “AMERICA” and “AMAZING GRACE” they did a fabulous job at setting a wonderful atmosphere

Mr.Karim Sidi: Addressed his tasty and on time meal provided to everyone as a community giveback.

JP: informed everyone of the progress of construction work opportunities and how important it is for the uninformed to have a chance at participating in such job opportunities in their neighborhood.

Rev.Frank Jackson:  

He shared is vision of  a nonprofit organization called “DIXWELL NEWHALL” with the goal of  securing jobs for the community and assisting economically disadvantaged folks into home ownership status.

Ms.Jackie Bracey: Discussed the status of the “Q”house, meeting with the mayor . The Dixwell Concerned Citizens prospectus was distributed.

Mr Greg Moorehead Ward 22 Alderman: Discussed his role in the Ward 22 community in addition to bringing awareness regarding economic opportunity, jobs, cooperation and unity.

Mr. Alfred Ellis: Provided guidance re voting booth procedures and protocol.

Ms. Senator Toni Harp: Keynote speaker, addressed the state of Connecticut being the largest employer, taxes at the home owner level are modest, Hartford efforts to balance the budget, the importance to know the future of job required skill sets,  i.e. nanotechnology the miniaturization of products, the senator advised us all the importance of our VOTE! How elected officials consider citizens participation at the polls when determining tasks, financing projects, etc .
