The scope of diversity within the student population in Connecticut grows every year, and so today's families are from many different cultural, geographical, religious, and racial backgrounds. Learning how to navigate school systems that in many cases differ from the family’s cultural background can be a challenging task. This Workshop will give adult family members:
An understanding of the valuable contributions that they are already making to their children’s success in school and in life.
Key knowledge for collaborating with teachers discuss school systems, help shape school culture, and support student success;
techniques to prepare their children for a successful future in a diverse global community .
