gwensamuel.com BlogDec 16: CT Governor Proclaims "Tis The Season To Be Reading" Day
Season Greeting To All,
As we know, “One in four students in America drops out of high school—and in the minority community; it’s closer to one in two. We’re sending 1.2 million kids into the streets each year without an education. It’s economically unsustainable and it’s morally unacceptable.” – US Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan
It is with these sentiments, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the State of Black CT Alliance (SBCTA), that I am very pleased to extend an invitation for you to attend our upcoming “Building Blocks of Educational Excellence Campaign, reception and award ceremony.
