"Bullied" Premiers in DC. Review of an Event

Tonight (Tuesday, October 5) I was privileged to sit among some heroic individuals – ordinary men and woman of extraordinary character and dedication to the twin ideals of love and justice – and to view the premier of a documentary on a historic, game-changing legal case involving a young man who was bullied unmercifully throughout middle school and high school until he, his mother, and Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center became involved.
“Bullied: A Student, A School and a Case that made History” is a powerful documentary produced and directed by Bob Brummel, a two-time academy award winner. It is the seventh film produced by SPLC’s Teaching Tolerance program aimed at educators and educational institutions. It is being distributed to any school or school system wanting it, at no cost to the schools. It is being paid for by donations from supporters of the SPLC.
