United States Department of Education
Alberto Retana is the Director of Community Outreach for the United States Department of Education, where he is responsible for communicating with and generating support from community based organizations, faith based leaders, businesses, parents and students for the Departments education initiatives, efforts, and programs.
Over the last several months, Mr. Retana has travelled across the country to show parents and community groups how their input is critical to the success of educational transformation.
Mr. Retana states very clearly “the people with the most to gain or lose are the students and the parents”.
