Hill Announces Write-In Campaign for U.S. Senate: It's Time for Real Change!
Hartford, CT – August 23, 2010 –Independent U.S. Senate candidate Brian K. Hill launches history making Write-In campaign for real change in Connecticut!
Hill says voters should, “stop voting for the lesser of two evils and vote for true integrity in November.” He believes the Democratic and Republican Parties are dysfunctional and “have become infected with career politicians trying to protect special interests and not the interests of the American people.” Hill insists that "electing McMahon or Blumenthal will put just another millionaire party insider in the Senate. We already have too many rich, power-hungry, narcissistic people in Congress and cannot afford to be duped into electing another one who will continue the gridlock in Washington. We need people-oriented elected officials and not party-oriented hacks."
Hill says "Blumenthal has served Connecticut well as Attorney General; however, merely waiting around 20 years for Senator Dodd to retire does not mean he is entitled to the job. Blumenthal is a humdrum Democratic Party loyalist and has not presented any new vision for the state of Connecticut to earn the right to be U.S. Senator. Electing Blumenthal guarantees himself and his special interest group friends' sweetheart deals at the expense of Connecticut residents. On the other hand, electing McMahon would demonstrate that you can purchase a U.S. Senate seat for $50 million. I reject this premise and contend that Connecticut is not up for sale!
