LARRY J.MAYES SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTATION. 8/21/10.PRESENTED BY THE COMMUNITY NETWORK, AFRICAN AMERICAN TELECOMMUNICATION PROFESSIONALS OF AT&T
Over 50 college bound students received scholarships which is not necessarily newsworthy. Community groups, social service organizations, foundations, churches and grandma and grand pop have been giving scholarships of love, prayer, and yes money for some time. It is still reenforcing, encouraging, inspiring and rewarding to witness such events nonetheless. Whenever we give back and share the human emotion of love and sharing permeates a room. We all seem to be more forgiving, more tolerant, more patient, more understanding, less mean, less prickly, less moody. Whether you give of your time, talent, money or positive energy, let's give what we can, when we can, however we can, I love the United Way expression, LIVE UNITED! Let's make it more than a phrase and exercise the theme in our daily actions, 24/7.
