(editor's note) It has interesting that the common parlance has adopted the term "blaxploitation". This hollywood genre period was not only a financial ripoff of Black Community economic power but saved the white behind of Hollywood. Hollywood was suffering an economic draught pertaining to revenues and once again we came to rescue with an economic infusion. This transfer of capital was not quite as massive as the black gold free market financial bailout transfusion that created multinational nation states during the slave trade. But this 1970's cultural exploitation which did of course employ actors of color, was critical nonetheless to the continued prosperity of the dream factory engine which often times only manufactures and sustains certain specific identity images of dominance.
