BENJAMIN CHAVIS JOINS NATIONAL PARENTAL CHOICE ORGANIZATION
Washington, D.C. – The Black Alliance for Educational Options (BAEO) announced today that Benjamin Chavis has been named the new Senior Advisor for Strategic Alliances. He will be responsible for establishing and fostering new relationships and allies for the organization.
Chavis is the Co-Founder, President and CEO of the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network (HSAN), the world’s largest coalition of hip-hop artists and recording industry executives and former Executive Director of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
“BAEO is excited Dr. Chavis is joining our organization and our fight for high-quality educational options for Black children and low-income families in this nation,” said Kenneth Campbell, President of BAEO. “We are committed to protecting current parental choice programs and expanding our outreach in cities with poor academic performance by Black children.”
