NEW HAVEN — For the better part of six months, undercover law enforcement officials tried to tap into the city’s firearms trafficking market in an effort to stem swelling gun violence.
On Tuesday, local, state and federal authorities fanned out across the city and into Hamden trying to serve a portion of the 42 state arrest warrants they secured during the operation.
