I had the opportunity to attend the CT State Naacp Youth Storm at Lake Compounce on Saturday, June 5, 2010. It was such a a creative, innovative and informative event. Topics such as the history of the Naacp, preparing for college, career success and leadership were engagingly presented in an interactive way. Hands on activities including designing protest materials, writing speeches and organizing a march took place for our emerging leaders. Congratulations to everyone involved.
