The Southern Republican Leadership Conference is being held in New Orleans.Newt Gingrich mentioned yesterday that we were once again revisiting the period of the 1850's from an ideological standpoint. I totally agree.In fact I had shared that opinion with good friend and people's professor Clifton Bush earlier in the day.Regardless of one's political perspective or belief the handwriting in on the wall. We are enmeshed in at minimum a war of words. Spitting, uncovered assassination plots, yelling from the house chamber, yelling during the State of the Union address are not unrelated and isolated episodes.
