Attend ANSWER CT Volunteer Meetings in New Haven and New London
April's ANSWER CT monthly volunteer meetings will focus on the struggle for immigrant rights. Anti-immigrant propaganda runs throughout US politics and has gotten worse with the growing financial crisis. Attacks against Latino people are increasing as bigots blame immigrants for high US unemployment and crime - baseless accusations. Racial profiling by police and raids by ICE terrorize and divide families. A movement struggling for immigrant rights has the power to change this.
Come to April ANSWER CT meetings for political discussion on the gains of the immigrant rights struggle and how we can continue the movement forward, and a report back from the March 20th National March on Washington.
New Haven
Wednesday, April 7th at 7pm at the United Church on the Green Parish House: 323 Temple St (at the intersection of Temple and Wall St., one block from the New Haven Green; parking available behind building off Wall St.).
New London
Sunday, April 18th at 4pm, at Bean & Leaf Coffee Shop: 13 Washington Street.
