BRIDGEPORT-- Housatonic Community College will host the 7th Annual Citywide Community Health Fair Wednesday, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 pm.
The fair, dubbed "A Healthier America One Community at a Time," is being held to promote community awareness of health issues. The fair, cosponsored by the Bridgeport Public Health Department, will feature exhibitors who will provide information about health-related issues and conduct a variety of health-related screenings.
"According to statistics, America has never been unhealthier," said Linda Griffin, HCC Health Services Coordinator. "This health fair gives both individuals and the community the opportunity to do something about it.
"It presents a great opportunity to become part of a grassroots movement that can guide American's toward a healthier lifestyle and better health," she said."

The fair, which is open to the general public as well as HCC faculty, staff and students, will be in the Events Center in Beacon Hall. HCC is located at 900 Lafayette Blvd. (Exit 27 off I-95 and Exit 1 off Rte. 8 South) in downtown Bridgeport, one block from the Arena at Harbor Yard. Free parking is available in the HCC garage.
