Black History Month: Document Discovery Session at Federal Hall
On February 27th, the National Archives will celebrate Black History Month at Federal Hall. The days program will focus on the 18th century African-American experience. Expect to encounter re-enactors from Van Cortlandt House Museum and the 1st Rhode Island and Ethiopian regiments portraying African-American soldiers during the American Revolution. In addition, several programs throughout the day will highlight the history of this time that tested men's souls. The National Archives at New York City will be on hand to explain records from the time period.
