Every five years, Congress authorizes several of the programs that feed our nation’s children when school’s in and out. A recent USDA release shows that hunger has continued to rise across the country as the economy flounders, affecting as many as one in four children. Here in Connecticut, 13% of children are hungry or at risk of hunger. We must speak up and act now!
