Shelby Banks, an American soprano has performed throughout the United States and parts of Europe on both the operatic and concert stage.
Her concert performances of
"Ancestral Legacy: A Concert Of African American Song"
which features the compositions of Margaret Bonds, Hall Johnson, John Carter and Duke Ellington are being well received. The concert series is part of a working documentary which will feature interviews and live footage of artists who share their career experiences and the effects the spirituals have had on their recital performances.
