The model was on display with structure, family, generations, programming, purpose and common intent. As we approach the season of Kwanzaa and the lifelong tenets of healthy and renewing social organization let's remember that in so many ways "Yes We Can"
Editor's Note( There is always much discussion about leadership and or the lack of it. I always ask myself the question what historical forces were in play resulting in many of our black community institutions being created in the early 1900's? The NAACP, The Urban League, The Black Golfers, The Black Tennis Association, the black fraternities and black sororities, Booker T Washington's Black Business League,the Garvey movement, and of course the East Rock Lodge and Pochohontas Temple.)
