TEACHING IN HIGHER EDUCATION TO BE TOPIC OF SCSU FORUM
New Haven, Conn. - How does one prepare to become a college or university professor? A forum to address this question – “Preparing for Opportunities to Teach in Higher Education” – will be held at Southern Connecticut State University on Nov. 16 from 6-8 p.m. The forum, which will be held in the Adanti Student Center Ballroom, is free and open to the public.
The forum will address such topics as teaching opportunities at SCSU; qualities department chairmen look for in qualified applicants; the need for a diverse faculty; the role of full-time and part-time faculty, and working in the SCSU learning community. A presentation and panel discussion will be followed by a reception for networking and employment opportunities. Refreshments will be provided.
