The 4th Annual Christian Community Commission/Brotherhood Leadership Summit was held on November 20 and November 21, Friday evening and Saturday morning at the Community Baptist Church. Peter C. Groff, Director of the Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships concluded the summit. To have a White House official actively participate in your local or statewide event is a significant achievement. To have the White House official speak not as a proforma endeavor but to have him truly not only care about the host organization's destiny but to be able to provide vital direction and conceivable access is an added blessing. Congratulations to Minister Donald Morris and his team of "merry men." Perhaps the Robin Hood reference is not entirely appropo but like the mythic Robin Hood, the commission recognizes that gross disparities in fulfilling the American Dream should not exist. With the help of their God, faith and sweat equity true community building can take place. Click on the link below to learn more about the Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships
