SISTER'S JOURNEY-ABOLITIONISTS ON THE MOVE

SISTER'S JOURNEY held their annual Pink Tea Fundraiser at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center on Saturday, October 24, 2009. These modern day abolitionists and suffragettes are fired up and taking action. Do not tell them that they do not have the power to help win the war against breast cancer. Soldiers and new troops assembled and mustered up armed with passion, beauty, love and dedication. This war is not about bullets or bombs. This war is about penetrating the hearts, minds and souls of a nation. This is a war to save yourself, family members and friends. The Sister's Journey army understands the stakes. They understand the need. They have heard the call and have responded. The fact filled , entertaining and informative luncheon was hosted by the simply marvelous Desiree Fontaine. This annual gathering celebrated cancer survivorship and honored those that have fought the good fight such as founder Linda White Epps.Thirteen Breast Cancer survivors were introduced and are featured in the 2010 Annual Calendar and everyone in attendance reenlisted. For further information or to join up call 203-288-3556, sistersjourney@sbcglobal.net
