Quinnipiac University School of Law to host “Discrimination Claims After Ricci v. DeStefano”

The Young Lawyers Section of the Connecticut Bar Association will present “Discrimination Claims After Ricci v. DeStefano,” a panel discussion on the U.S. Supreme Court decision and its implications for employment law and policy, on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Grand Courtroom of the Quinnipiac University School of Law Center. The panel is co-sponsored by the George Crawford Black Bar Association, Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature a panel discussion with Karen Lee Torre, the counsel for the petitioners in Ricci v. DeStefano; Victor A. Bolden, the counsel for the City of New Haven; and Sachin S. Pandya, associate professor of law at the University of Connecticut School of Law.
