Good Afternoon All,

The LEAP Youth Development Program would like to formally invite everyone to
Youth Action Day Event, 'Reality Check,' on July 31. 2009 at James Hillhouse
High School from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. LEAP's Junior and Senior counselors have
discussed issues that are plaguing the communities they serve and reside in.
They have developed interesting ways to make those particular issues known
to the public by dedicating one day to action and to community awareness.
This summer we will have an interactive museum focusing on violence, sex
education, economics and homelessness, and one exhibit will be dedicated to
people who are from New Haven that have become phenomenal in various ways
and are a true inspiration to our youth. We will also have a panel
discussion about other topics involving our community. This event also
includes a food and clothing drive, in which all proceeds will be donated to
local shelters in New Haven. If anyone has any questions please feel free to
