“TEENS CAN MAKE THINGS HAPPEN”
On Saturday, June 27, 2009, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Cortland Wilson Branch of the New Haven Public Library, located at 303 Washington Avenue, teens from throughout the city will speak out and plan for positive change in New Haven’s neighborhoods.
The event is free and open to teens between the ages of 13-19 years of age. There will be food, fun, prizes, and entertainment. One group of teens will come away with a grant for $1,000 to begin implementing their plan for change this summer. Don’t miss this opportunity to be heard and rewarded for your efforts.
REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE AT EMPOWER NEW HAVEN, NEIGHBORHOOD SUB-STATIONS AND NEIGHBORHOOD MANAGEMENT TEAMS, YOUTH AGENCIES
PARTICIPATION LIMITED—FIRST 60 TEENS WILL HAVE RESERVED SEATING AT THE PLANNING TABLES
