INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE IS COMING TO NEWHALLVILLE!
For International Day of Peace, September 21, 2009, the City of New Haven Peace Commission will be planting a Tree of Peace, along with a stone monument, in the Newhallville neighborhood to commemorate the victims of street violence, pay tribute to the efforts of brave people taking positive steps to address the violence, and to symbolize peace on the streets of our city and across the world.
All City residents are invited to a planning meeting to discuss this project. Youth are especially encouraged to attend.
