THE UNITED WAY BATON IS PASSED TO DIANE TURNER

On Tuesday night, May 19, the United Way of Greater New Haven held a recognition celebration at the New Haven Lawn Club. 2008 United Way of Greater New Haven Campaign Chair Scott Flora, President, Covidien Surgical Devices passed the baton to 2009 Chair, Diane Turner, Associate University Librarian for Human Resources, Yale University. Honorary Co-Hosts were Mayor John DeStefano, Bruce Alexander, Marna Borgstrom, Dr. Dorsey Kendrick, Tony Rescigno, and Al Smith

The event was an opportunity to salute 2008 campaign chair, Scott Flora and to celebrate United Way’s annual efforts to mobilize th community to give, advocate and volunteer.

Tom - Thanks so much for your support and for joining us last night. We are thrilled that Diane Turner has agreed to lead the United Way fundraising efforts next year. She's an inspiring, talented leader and we're all lucky to have her focused on community needs in these really challenging times.
