The Yale African American Affinity Group hosted Guest Speaker Tony Brown on Thursday, April 30th at The Afro-American Cultural Center at Yale University. The public was invited and it is worth mentioning once again that free opportunities abound in Yale Town. Consider partaking as your time and inclination permit.
Mr. Brown shared his experiences and excerpts from his new book "What Mama Taught Me." Equally important and perhaps more so he revealed his most inner thoughts about life, love and and this sometimes mysterious sojourn on this spec of condensed dust as it hurtles through the universe. He challenged the audience to abandon the shibboleths of convention and mass marketed propaganda ( ancient and current). And he implored all those who chose to listen to be ever vigilant in your discernment.
