Barack Obama has joined the race. The dramatic question is which race? The race for president. The race to create mass democracy. The race to stop the war? The race to stop Hilary? The race to abolish cultural stereotypes.
It is so easy to fall prey to societal linguistic stereotypes. How is it possible that over the course of 100 years a particular family of man can morph into different degrees of light, language and geographic markers while remaining in the same longitude and latitude? I know that it is tomorrow in Australia as you read this but to be black one day, negro( portugese for black) another day, african american another day, afro-american another day and colored another day all over the course of a short period of time is remarkable.
Either this race is a chameleon , the most powerless or the most illusive to define in the history of the planet or the most mysterious ! We know that there are those who contend that Christ, Buddha, the Virgin Mary and Beethoven were black , or were they negro, or colored or mestizo.
Anyway re Barack a universal child of an American mother( born in the Midwest) and African father born in East African) by today's twisted and schizaphrenic standards makes Barack an African in my book. Not an African-American. To classify Barack as an African- American is tantamount to classifying Tiger as African-American-Thai, or Halle Berry, African-American-White
Maybe we should admit once and for all as the scientist do that we are all from the same human family.
