New Haven Venom:

ABOUT US

In 2012 I moved from New York to New Haven, CT. in the hope of bringing a minor league team to the city of New Haven. I’ve been successful in running minor league programs in the past, with my emphasis in making sure that each ball player returns to mainstream society as a productive member of the community. I focus my efforts on making sure these individuals have their high school diploma and/or their G.E.D with the ability to land full time employment or to get them back on track to going to college. New Haven is like most cities with typical city problems. I also feel that if we use the minor league program to mold these young men into physically stronger and mentally wiser people they will be an asset to our society and help to improve future generations of our community in a “pay it forward” method. As the New Haven Venom organization is one of the only organizations, which caters to young men between the ages of 18 – 25, we aspire to be the Club to join. The Venom organization wants to give young men the opportunity to turn their life around. We are here to unite the areas of New Havens like the Tre, Hill, Tribe, Ville, etc. We truly believe that engaging these young men in our program will help make the streets a much safer place. The Venom Football Program has already assisted some players in getting their GED along with helping them in fine tuning their resumes and giving them the confidence to successfully apply and attain gainful employment. For the local schools, we would like to be the venue for high school students to achieve community credit, by filming games or helping out on the sidelines. We aspire to have our football players serve as mentors to interested adolescents in the high school systems encouraging them to achieve self-confidence and success. We will build individuals to become better persons with our high standard of Venom pride.
