The N Word Project
This project involves collecting narratives from a range of people across America about their thoughts, feelings and experiences with the n-word, as "nigger" and "nigga," and whether its growing use might lead to it becoming the new standard reference for Americans of African descent. It is part of my larger research on the evolving name-descriptions of Americans of African descent over the past four centuries. Participation is encouraged by ALL (hint-hint). Please address one or more of the following: (1) your first or most memorable experience with the n-word; (2) whether you use the word; (3) the most recent time you heard it used; (4) whether you would accept the n-word as the new standard reference for Americans of African descent; (5) anything else you would like to share about the word at n-wordproject.tumblr.com
